U.S. Economy SOARING Under Obama, Growth Reaches 11-Year High Despite GOP Obstructionism

Obama economy gaining steam this quarter

Tell your conservative uncle to ditch the tricorner hat with Celestial Seasonings hanging from the brim because President Obama is absolutely embarrassing right wing talking points in his weekly address.

In this weeks Weekly Address: Americas Resurgence is Real, President Obama takes a look at job and economic growth in this country since the devastating recession in 2009, the results for our latest quarter were even better than expected. Even the Dow reached a record 18,000 points today.

President Obama addressed the nation, saying:

The steps we took nearly six years ago to rescue our economy and rebuild it on a new foundation helped make 2014 the strongest year for job growth since the 1990s. Over the past 57 months, our businesses have created nearly 11 million new jobs. And in a hopeful sign for middle-class families, wages are on the rise again.

Our investments in American manufacturing have helped fuel its best stretch of job growth since the 90s. America is now the number one producer of oil and gas, saving drivers about 70 cents a gallon at the pump over last Christmas. The auto industry we rescued is on track for its strongest year since 2005. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, about 10 million Americans have gained health insurance in the past year alone. And since I took office, we have cut our deficits by about two-thirds.

This type of success completely smashes gripes from the right-wing to smithereens. Despite a complete government shutdown, filibusters and massive tantrums by the GOP, President Obama stayed the course and its having a fantastic result.

Remember when Mitt Romney said this before the last Presidential election?

Or this:

Romney criticized Obama for not fixing the economy immediately, yet his job growth plan wouldn't work effectively for 25 years. Facebook, 2011

Knowing how wrong he would be, is gleefully fulfilling. The housing market is even doing well these days.

Now, take a look at this:

Maddow Blog

What were seeing is our Gross Domestic Product up at 5 percent for this quarter (July-September), and with gas-prices low, the last quarter is expected to hold steady.

Market Watch reported:

The U.S. economy grew at a 5.0% annual pace in the third quarter, matching the best performance since the third quarter of 2003. The increase in real gross domestic product was revised up from 3.9%, mainly because of consumer spending and business investment, the Commerce Department said Tuesday.

Not only the economy, many factions in U.S. are doing well

America is finally starting to see real recovery, in nearly every faction. The Affordable Care Act has insured 10 million Americans, which has also caused growth in the private sector for health insurance. With the rise of insured Americans, the healthcare industry is expected to start hiring to meet the demands of a larger participating population, and are expected to add more jobs than any other industry between 2012-2022 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The bailout of the auto industry has also enlivened the industry, despite the critics. Unemployment is finally petering out. Before the last Presidential election, Boehnor said:

Raising taxes in 2013 on the wealthy did not increase unemployment. While job recovery wasnt as swift as needed, the U.S. has nearly returned to pre-recession rates, below are the latest unemployment figures:

While the GOP would have Americans believe the sky has been falling since Obama took office in 2009, it would seem that every issue they have taken with the President is being countered by positive numbers, growth and statistics. Were not operating at 100 percent, yet, but President Obama and democrats have many successes to boast about.

Fewer Americans born in the U.S. have jobs now than were employed to November 2007, despite a working-age population growth of 11 million.

I think the Left is successful because they reframe the argument and the lazy, complacent masses dont scratch the surface to the real issue.

For example, the Left has reframed helping people into meaning government helping people. Now if you oppose government programs it is reframed to mean that you are against helping people who need help and you are in favor of starving people.

Homosexuality is reframed to be, not a sex act, but a lifestyle of love and creativity. Now if you oppose homosexuality, you oppose love.

A terrible, jobless recovery is heralded as an improvement under Obama.

If you oppose Obama, you are a racist.

In the science of logic, this reframing is also called the false dilemma, and it is a favorite of control freaks and demagogues such as Democrats.

The false dilemma works like this: you are forced to choose between two things, when in reality there is no need or connection between the choices.

A perfect example is: Either you are a Democrat or you hate the poor. Youre not permitted to oppose big government programs for rational reasons, such as bad outcomes, loss of individual freedom and liberty. But by presenting you with this false dilemma, the Democrat attempts to morally disarm you.

Conservatives are not only good people, the solutions conservatives promote are far superior to liberal solutions because conservative solutions actually work. This is a threat to liberals and with the help of the Main Street media, they use false dilemmas to attack conservatives.

      Excellent analysis and spot on.

Your entire response is drivel. To say that the economy is not recovering but is only a false dilemma is not only dishonest but statistically a lie. To say conservative solutions are better belies the fact that Americans are on average working for 1989 wages. The disaster that is and was Reaganomics has hurt this country for thirty years plus. Your rational reasons not to help people who were put in temporary hard times by conservatives crashing the economy is not a loss of freedom or a loss of liberty but simple greed. I personally know of families who are now much better off and will be for their entire lives by the help they received to retrain. Both loss thier jobs and were in dire straights but by receiving help (government loans and tution help both excelled in nursing school and now are gainfully employed. They will forever be much better off as will their families because of the loss of freedom and liberty that their student loans inflicted upon them . As usual conservatives cant see the bright side of anything because their heads are up their asses.

If you want a good economy, pick wisely between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats believe the answer is government management of the economy. That belief is in the wisdom of a few men, like Obama, in government to make choices.

Republicans believe that millions of people with freedom of individual choice will cause businesses to compete and innovate creating a dynamic economy.

The thing is, weve tried it both ways and the Democrats way has never worked.

Government cannot inject a single dollar into the economy until it has first taken that same dollar out of the economy.

To create jobs, government can transfer jobs from the productive sector to the government sector by taking money from one and giving it to the other. But these temporary government jobs come at a steep price: every dollar spent sustaining one of these jobs is a dollar taken from the same capital pool that would otherwise have been available to productive businesses to invest in creating permanent jobs.

Government can also transfer jobs from one business to another by taking capital from one and giving it to the other. Thats how we got Solyndra. We put a half-billion dollars at risk to create 1,100 jobs (thats $450,000 per job) at the alternative energy company. Now those half-billion dollars are gone, and so are the jobs.

If you want to live free and be prosperous, dont vote for Democrats.

        • LarryEWells

If your response had any validity could you possibly explain why the last two Democratic President have had more jobs created under their terms than all of the Republicans since Reagan began his first tern in 1981? Facts seem to destroy your running tirade of lies.

You people need to look up the concept of regression to the mean. This recession has lasted for 7 years. The recession lasting forever is unlikely. This pretty much had to happen. Even if Romney had been elected, this would have happened at some point.

  • ganges

You cant argue with facts or history.. Its all there..Unless of course you suffer from Cognitive Dissonance…

It is time to acknowledge that those who have been working against Obama are the truth tellers and Americas true heroes.
