Things certainly arent going well for New Orleans Saints fans this year. But this is just too much.
A Saints fan elbowed a young woman who was a Bengals fan in the face, out-muscling her, and ripping away a souvenir football that was thrown to her.
After Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham caught a touchdown pass in the third quarter of Sundays game in New Orleans, he spotted two female Bengals fans in the front row and decided to toss one of them the football. Jermaine strolled up the stands and gestured to the woman his intention of throwing her the football he just caught.
Neither Gresham nor the two female Bengals fans noticed a Saints fan, wearing a New Orleans jersey sitting in the front row.
As soon as the ball left Jermaines fingers, as he underhanded the ball and it wobbled towards the direction of the two female fans, the Saints fan jumped up, elbowed one of the women trying to catch the ball, out-muscled her, and snatched the ball away.
The Saints fan smirked as he nestled the ball under his arm and sat down.
In a state of shock and disbelief, the female fan pleaded to the man to give her the ball. He just ignored her.
The fans around him were shocked and angry, as were the players. Even the Saints fans in the section who witnessed the affair started chanting:
#Saints fans in the section are changing Give them the ball Even the #Saints fans are rooting for the #Bengals fans

But the Saints fan wouldnt budge.
Later, after the Cincinnati Bengals won the game 27 10, Gresham had this to say to Associated Press.
He should be ashamed of himself. And you can put that on the record.
ESPN reports offensive tackle Andre Smith said straight out:
That was dirty!
After ESPN finally caught up with the now-infamous Saints fan, named Tony Williams, and asked him: Why are you keeping the football? he answered:
Because I caught it, the Saints fan, Tony Williams, told Rosecrans. Its very simple, I caught the football.
Not exactly a great ambassador for your team there, Tony.
Thankfully, the story had a happy ending. Right before the 2:00 warning the Saints organization gave the young Bengals fan a ball of her own:

And of course, her team won, big time.
Incredibly, Tony Williams was actually MAD that she was given a ball, and made his displeasure clear for all to see but probably not what the team front office wanted to:
Stay classy, Tony!
However one Saints fan was impressed by the football Scrooge Williams, in light of the Saints poor performance this year:
Looks like Tony needs some lessons in manners from an 11 year old:
